Data Deletion Request
App: Fabulery — Learn Languages with Fables · Data controller: Süleyman GÜNDÜZOĞLU · Last updated: October 8, 2026
- 🇹🇷 Türkçe
- 🇬🇧 English
You can have some or all of the data in your Fabulery account deleted without deleting your account. If you want to delete your account together with all your data, use the Account Deletion page.
📧 In short: from the email address registered to your account, send an email with the subject “Data deletion request” to destek@fabulery.com. We complete your request within 30 days at the latest and confirm the result by email.
How to Make a Request
Write to destek@fabulery.com from the email address registered to your account (if you sign in with Google, from that Google account’s address). Use the subject line Data deletion request.
In the email, say which data you want deleted: choose from the list below or write “all”.
We verify through the registered email address that the request comes from the account owner; if needed, we send a confirmation email to that address. We do not act on requests made for someone else’s account.
We delete the selected data within 30 days at the latest and confirm the result by email.
Data You Can Have Deleted
- Your word learning history — learned, to-learn and confused words, word scores and mistake counts
- Your game and learning progress — level, experience points, completed stories and scenes, FabuWords chapters, Daily Puzzle, TilkoLand and Quests (your progress is reset)
- In-game items and reward records — gold, gems, feathers, hints and axes, daily login streak, Gift Wheel and reward history (these have no monetary value and are not refunded)
- Your collections — stickers, unlocked backgrounds and your chosen avatar
- Your date of birth — stored only if you are 18 or older (the date of birth of users under 18 is never stored). If it is deleted, adult-only options (choosing your own display name, birthday campaign) are turned off.
- Your chosen display name — your automatically generated nickname is shown instead
- The users you have blocked in the league and your Weekly Companion record (and a friends list left over from older versions, if any)
- Your friend data — your friend list, the blocks you made in the Friends section and the friend requests you sent or received (your friend code is renewed as well)
- Parent Link (if set up) — the parent’s email address, the irreversible digest of the parent PIN and the statement record; the link is removed (the child’s progress stays in the account)
- Your rows in league tables (name + score; including a profile record created by older versions) — after deletion they are no longer visible to other players
- Translation feedback and abuse reports you have sent
- Your notification token — after deletion no notifications are sent to you
- Your app preferences and time zone offset — settings such as native language, target language and font size
Deleted data cannot be recovered. If you keep using the app, some data it needs to work (for example your new progress, preferences and time zone offset) is created again.
What You Can Do Yourself Right Away
You do not need to send a request for the following:
- Error reports (Crashlytics): enabled only in the closed-test version and only for users aged 18 or over who consent; you can withdraw consent with the “Error reports” switch in Settings. Firebase Analytics is disabled for everyone.
- Notifications: turn off Fabulery’s notification permission in your device settings.
- For eligible adults’ social features only: League visibility and blocks: if you turn off Settings → Show me in the league, your row in that week’s league table is deleted and no new one is created; you can unblock someone in the mobile app from Settings → Blocked players.
- For eligible adults’ social features only: Friends: in Settings → Friends you can remove friends, lift the blocks made there and renew your friend code once every 24 hours (the old code stops working immediately and pending requests sent with it are deleted).
- Display name: if you are 18 or older and your account is linked to Google or email, you can change it with the pencil button on your player card in the mobile app.
- Data on your device: uninstalling the app deletes Fabulery’s data from the device. The website has no accounts and progress is only in your browser: if you have not allowed storage it is deleted when you close the tab; you can turn off “Keep on this device” in Settings or clear the site data in your browser.
Guest Accounts and Children
Device mode: for users under 13 and users who have not given their age, no account or guest identifier is created; progress stays only on that device or in that browser and is not sent to us, so we hold no record to delete. This progress is deleted in the app with Settings → Start From Scratch, by uninstalling the app or by clearing the browser’s site data; Settings → Reset This Device asks an adult to enter their birth year and deletes all Fabulery data, including the age information.
Guest accounts have no real email address. Google/email registration, signing in to an existing account and guest linking require a known age of 18 or over; this restriction does not remove deletion rights. Delete a guest account in the app through Settings → Delete My Account. New parent links and restoration are disabled. Username accounts, which users aged 13–17 can create, can be deleted in the app or on the Account Deletion page using a password, reset with a recovery code if needed. Accounts previously restored through Parent Link can be deleted in the app without entering a password. If access is lost, use the support route below.
Data That Is Not Deleted or Is Kept
- Your account itself: your account ID (UID), email address, sign-in method and account creation date are kept while your account exists; your account cannot work without them. To delete these as well, delete your account (Account Deletion).
- For data sent by the closed-test version or older versions: Analytics and crash records (only if you gave consent): records already sent are deleted automatically when Google’s retention period ends (typically 90 days for Crashlytics).
- Under-18 and unknown-age users play without Friends, League or Weekly Companion. In the mobile app, no ads are shown to users under 13 or to users who choose Skip; users aged 13–17 may receive child-directed, non-personalised ads. Advertising data: ads in the app are shown by Google AdMob. Data that AdMob processes when an ad is requested (for example IP address and device information) is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and is not stored in our systems, so we cannot delete it. Currently no user (adults included) is shown personalized ads; users under 18 and users who have not given their age are never shown them.
- Connection data when content is downloaded: connection data created when story texts, chapters, images and audio are downloaded (for example IP address) is processed by our content providers Google Cloud Storage and Cloudflare, solely to deliver the content and protect the service; it is not linked to your account and is not stored in our systems.
- Anonymous aggregate statistics: totals that cannot be linked to you and cannot be traced back to an individual.
- Legal records: if we are legally required to keep certain records, only for the legally required period.
Time Frames
- Data deletion request: completed within 30 days at the latest.
- Backups: under the deletion process of our infrastructure provider Google, deleted data is removed from backup systems within 180 days at the latest.
- For data sent by older versions: Crash records (only if you gave consent): kept for Google’s retention period, typically 90 days.
