Zeus, Prometheus, Athena and Momus
Zeus, Prometheus and Athena made great things. Zeus made a strong bull. Prometheus made a clever man. Athena made a beautiful house. They called Momus and showed their works.
Momus found a fault in everything. "The eyes belong on the horns," he said. "The heart needs a window," he said. "The house needs wheels against bad neighbours." Momus liked nobody's beautiful work.
Zeus became very angry about this. Momus gave only unfair criticism. Zeus threw the bad Momus down the mountain. The others lived happily with their works. A fault-finder is never a happy person. Seek a perfect friend and stay friendless.
