Zeus and the Tortoise
One day mighty Zeus held a splendid wedding. He invited all the animals to the party. Birds, rabbits and foxes came joyfully. Everyone ate, drank and had great fun together.
But the little tortoise never came. Zeus noticed this at once and was amazed. The next day Zeus slowly visited the tortoise. He asked curiously, "Why did you not come?"
The tortoise said, "My own home is best." Zeus was very, very angry at this answer. He decided to punish the tortoise at once. "Carry your house on your back!" he said.
From that day the tortoise carried its house. Love your home, but never refuse a friend. Every bird likes its own nest best.
