Zeus and the Jar Full of Blessings

Zeus filled a large closed earthenware jar with all the beauty and blessings in the world. Tightly closing the lid of the jar, Zeus entrusted it to humans and warned "Never open this lid." However, succumbing to curiosity, as soon as humans opened the lid, all the blessings inside flew up into the sky. While blessings abandoned humans and returned to the gods, only Hope remained at the very bottom of the jar.

Even though humans shut the lid immediately, they had let other blessings escape, holding only Hope locked at the bottom. Since that day, no matter what disasters humans experience, they have stayed upright thanks to the Hope at the bottom. Even if all blessings vanish, the light of hope inside human guides them in the darkest moments. In the face of evils and disasters, hope is the ultimate force that binds humans to life.

Hope sustains in the hardest times. Hope is the last to die. Curiosity loses what one holds. Hope is light in the dark.

Imprudence brings loss. Hope gives power to humans. Even if all goes, hope remains.
