The Wren on the Eagle's Back
Once upon a time, at the edge of an old forest where cool waters flowed, all the birds gathered. The brave and powerful eagle of the forest was soaring at the top of high rocks, looking proudly at the other birds. The tiny wren was sitting quietly among the colorful flowers, impatiently waiting for the big contest to begin. That day, a grand and exciting flying race was organized to choose the new king of the sky. The bird that could fly to the highest point without growing tired would earn the right to become the new ruler of the forest.
When the wise owl opened its wings and announced the start of the race, all the birds took off into the sky at once. Flapping its huge wings forcefully, the eagle managed to leave all its other rivals behind in a short time. But the cunning tiny wren managed to secretly land on the eagle's broad back without anyone noticing. The eagle flew upward for hours and finally went even above the clouds. Becoming very tired, the giant eagle shouted loudly, "Is there anyone who can fly higher than me?"
Seeing that the other birds remained below, the eagle was preparing to declare itself the undisputed king of the forest. But just at that moment, the wren emerging from among the hidden feathers began to chirp merrily. The tiny wren took off from the tired eagle's back and flew a little higher above it. Unable to move from exhaustion, the eagle had to watch in astonishment as the little bird glided above its own head. Thanks to a clever plan, the little wren won the contest and took its place at the highest point of the sky.
The birds flying down declared the cunning and smart wren the new king of the forest with joyful songs. Sometimes not only physical strength, but also mind and intelligence can bring great victories. Brain is better than brawn.
