The Wolf and the Sheep
One day a hungry wolf searched the green hills for food. The sun was shining, but his stomach growled very loudly. Suddenly he saw a sweet sheep on the fresh grass. The wolf came very quietly and caught the sheep. The poor sheep was afraid and began to shake. The wolf wanted to play with her first.
"Say three true things and I will free you," he said. The sheep took a deep breath and decided to speak. "First, I did not want to meet you today," she said. "Second, a blind wolf is much better for me," she said. The wolf liked these answers and listened with great surprise. "Third, all wolves are bad and nobody loves you," she said.
The wolf listened to the sheep and understood the truth. He wanted to hurt her, but his promise stopped him. He felt great respect for this honest, brave sheep. The wolf opened his mouth and let the sheep go. The sheep ran away quickly and found her flock safely. Even in a hard moment, the truth can save you. God helps the one who speaks the truth.
