The Two Wallets

Once upon a time, beyond the lush green valleys, there was a charming village. Sweet breezes blew and colorful flowers bloomed in this village. A large and old plane tree stood in the middle of the village. Every evening, the villagers gathered under this tree and chatted.

A young man named Ali also came here every day. However, Ali only saw the mistakes of others and constantly criticized them.

One day, a white-bearded wise old man came to the village. The wise man hung two small wallets over Ali's shoulders. The front wallet was full of others' faults, while the back one was full of Ali's own faults. The wise old man smiled and told Ali to keep walking.

Ali looked at the front wallet and said, "What a lot of mistakes are inside!" But he could not see the wallet behind him at all and did not notice his own mistakes.

The wise man showed Ali the heavy wallet behind him. Ali was very surprised when he saw that his own wallet was much fuller. He realized he was wrong and bowed his head in shame. From that day on, he gave up looking for anyone's faults.

A person should first see their own mistakes and correct themselves. Look at your own faults before criticizing others.
