The Sick Lion, Fox and Deer
The sick old lion asked the cunning fox to bring him fresh deer meat. The cunning fox went next to the naive deer and deceived him saying "King lion will choose you as heir, come to the cave immediately." The lion suddenly attacked the deer entering the cave, but the deer managed to escape with only his ear torn off. Not giving up, the fox found the deer again and dragged him to the cave for the second time saying "The king wanted to whisper in your ear, you got scared and fled, return immediately."
When the deer entered the cave for the second time, the lion tore him to pieces; the fox secretly ate the deer's brain and said "If this deer had a brain, he wouldn't fall into the same trap twice." Those who do not learn a lesson from the first danger and disaster and fall for the same lies again are condemned to lose their lives. Foolishly committed mistakes and naively displayed trust cause a person to prepare their own disaster. Being deceived a second time by the same trap is an unforgivable foolishness.
A naive person who falls into the same trap a second time loses their life. One who does not learn from danger walks to disaster. The same lie is not swallowed twice. Naive trust darkens life.
The price of foolishness is heavy. An alert person does not repeat a mistake. Wisdom is drawing a lesson from experience.
