The Shepherd and the Wolf
A wolf walked behind a shepherd's flock for months but never attacked the sheep. From time to time the wolf collected lambs separating from the flock, brought them to the shepherd, and gained the shepherd's trust. Falling for the wolf's docile manners, the shepherd said "This wolf has become our guardian now," entrusted the flock to the wolf, and went to town. As soon as the shepherd left, the wolf seizing the opportunity pounced on the flock and tore all the sheep to pieces.
On return, encountering the scene of slaughter, the shepherd cried saying "Ah my mind! Leaving sheep to a wolf is what kind of sense!" It is a disaster to fall for the fake docility of people with rapacity and enmity in their nature and entrust valuable things to them. The enemy never becomes a friend; they only wait for the right opportunity and time. Handing over security and duty to a relentless enemy is bringing ruin with one's own hand.
One should not trust the enemy's fake friendship and hand over a trust. Sheep are not entrusted to a wolf. Fake docility waits for an opportunity. A natural enemy does not become a friend.
Handing security to the enemy is disaster. Late regret is of no use. Staying alert protects.
