The Pig and the Sheep
A pig and a sheep live on a fine green farm. The two animals eat grass together every day. Every morning the farmer comes and checks them. One day the farmer suddenly catches the pig and lifts it up. The pig is very afraid and screams out loud.
The pig cries, kicks and wants to run away. The sheep is very surprised at this noise. The sheep looks at the pig and gets a little angry. The sheep says, "The farmer holds us too, but we never scream." The pig answers the sheep very sadly.
The pig says, "The farmer holds you and wants only your wool." "He holds me and wants my meat," it adds. The sheep understands the pig and goes quiet at once. Everyone knows his own trouble and his own danger. Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches.
