The Oxen and the Butchers
Once upon a time, huge oxen lived on a peaceful farm beyond the lush green valleys. These strong animals worked in the fields all day and rested in the cool shade in the evenings. One day, the oxen gathered and decided to rebel, thinking that the butchers were harming them. They made a plan to destroy the butchers and wanted to drive them away from the forest.
However, a wise and old ox stepped in and stopped his friends. "Yes, butchers slaughter us, but at least they do their work mercifully and quickly," said the wise ox. "If we destroy the butchers, ruthless and inexperienced people will replace them and cause us even more pain," he added. The oxen realized their wise friend was right and gave up on their hasty decision.
Before changing the existing situation, one must calculate well what the future will bring. Out of the frying pan into the fire. An unknown danger is worse than a known trouble. Hasty decisions lead to bigger disasters. Change made without thinking brings harm. Old trouble is better than a new disaster.
One must appreciate the present situation. An experienced enemy is better than an inexperienced friend. Hasty rebellion brings disaster. Common sense prevents great losses.
