The Owl and the Birds
Once upon a time, at the edge of an old forest where cool waters flowed, lived a wise owl. This smart bird watched the surroundings with giant eyes and could sense future dangers in advance. The cheerful little birds in the forest sang songs all day and traveled the world carelessly. One day, a farmer man began planting small flax seeds in the field next to the forest. The owl immediately understood that these seeds would become nets to catch birds in the future.
The wise owl took off from its branch at once and flew to the other birds in the forest. "Remove these seeds from the soil quickly, or your head will be in great trouble," it said. But the little birds did not take the owl's serious warning seriously at all. "You are too paranoid, dear owl, what harm could come to us from small seeds?" they laughed. Days passed, the green flax grew, and hunters wove strong nets from this flax.
The hunters set these sturdy nets everywhere in the forest and caught the birds singing sweet songs. The helpless birds caught in the nets remembered the wise owl's words and felt great regret. The few birds that managed to escape went to the wise owl in shame. They apologized to it and asked for advice to protect themselves. But the wise owl shook its head sadly because it was not listened to in time.
Now that it was too late, it decided to hoot alone only at night. Listening to wise advice given before danger reaches the door always saves lives. Regret after the fact is of no use.
