The Man and the Satyr

On a cold winter day a man walked in the forest. The wind blew very hard. The man blew on his cold hands to warm them. A curious satyr came out from behind the tree. The satyr came quietly to the man. "Why do you blow on your hands?" he asked. "My breath warms my hands," the man answered. The satyr was very surprised. Together they walked to the hut.

In the warm hut they put a bowl of soup on the table. The soup was very hot and full of steam. The man blew on his spoon to cool the soup. The satyr saw this and stood up in surprise. "Why do you blow now?" he asked. "My breath cools the soup," the man answered.

These words made the satyr very angry. "You blow hot and cold from the same mouth, so I am not your friend," he said. He took his things and left the hut fast. The man stayed alone with his mistake.

They saw that double words lose all trust.

One mouth does not speak two words.
