The Little Wild Boar

Once upon a time, at the edge of an ancient forest where cool waters flowed, there lived a sorrowful king and queen. After years of longing their prayers were answered, and a most adorable wild boar came into the world. Though the people of the palace were astonished at this, his parents embraced him with endless love and held him to their hearts. As the tiny wild boar grew, he enchanted everyone not only with his courage but also with his mind that shone like silver. He would listen to the whispers in the depths of the forest, and could decipher the mysterious language of nature with a single glance. One day a dark giant, who stole the joy of the land, blocked the water springs of the kingdom with a huge rock.

While the people were left helpless from thirst, even the proud princes failed to move this colossal rock from its place. The little wild boar sprang forward and called out, "With your permission, I should like to take on this duty." The arrogant courtiers looked at his tiny body and began to laugh in mockery. But the wise king, seeing the unshakable resolve in his son's eyes, blessed him with all his heart. The brave little boar took with him only a small bag embroidered with gold and set out for the rocky mountain. The giant he met at the summit of the mountain roared, "How can a small creature like you defy me?"

Our little hero, without losing his composure, answered, "Strength lies not in the muscles, but in a sharp mind and a clean heart." The little wild boar quickly dug up the earth the giant was standing on with his sharp tusks and left the giant off balance. As the tumbling giant fell down the cliff, the huge rock split in two with a great crash. When the icy waters that had gained their freedom began to flow joyfully towards the valleys, a magical miracle happened. The brave wild boar, whose magical hide suddenly fell away, turned into a handsome prince with a radiant face. The young prince who returned to the kingdom was welcomed with the cries of joy of the people and the sound of drums. True worth is hidden not in splendid bodies, but in a brave heart and a spotless soul. A tree is known by its fruit.
