The Lion, the Donkey and the Fox
One day a big lion, a donkey and a fox met in the forest. The three animals decided to hunt together. They walked in the forest until evening and caught many animals. Then they sat down under a big tree.
The lion asked the donkey to share the food between the three friends. The donkey cut the food into three equal parts and showed the lion. The lion got very angry and jumped on the donkey. The strong lion killed the donkey with one blow.
Then the lion turned to the fox and told him to share. The clever fox put almost all the food before the lion. For himself he took only a small piece of meat.
The lion laughed and asked the fox: "Who taught you this?" The fox pointed at the donkey and said: "I learned my lesson from him."
The mistakes of other people teach us and keep us safe. One misfortune is worth a thousand pieces of advice.
