The Liar and the Wise Man
A sly liar lives in a green valley. The man loves to trick people. One day he goes to a great wise man. A tiny live bird sits in his closed hand. The poor bird's heart beats fast with fear.
The sly man smiles mockingly at the wise man. "Is this bird alive or dead?" he asks. In his mind the man makes a sly plan. If the wise man says "Dead," he frees it. If the wise man says "Alive," he kills it.
The wise man's bright eyes look at him calmly. "My friend, the bird's fate is in your fingers." The sly man has no answer and feels ashamed.
The truth always comes to light.
