The Justice of Zeus
The goddess of justice wrote down every injustice and crime committed by humans on oak leaves one by one. Filling a large sack with the written leaves, she accumulated them next to Zeus's throne in the sky. Seeing that their punishment did not arrive immediately, people who committed evil asked the goddess of justice "Why does Zeus not punish us?" The goddess said "Zeus has not forgotten your crimes; he will simply draw leaves from the sack in turn and give your punishment when the time comes."
Even though evil people were deceived by the punishment not coming immediately and continued their evil, divine justice was manifested when the time arrived. No evil remained unpunished; Zeus gave the punishment for every crime whose turn came with justice. The delay of divine justice does not mean that punishment will not be given; the account of every crime is called when its time comes. Being patient and trusting justice keeps a person standing upright against injustices.
Divine justice is manifested sooner or later. Evil does not go unpunished. Justice is delayed but does not stop. Every crime has its time.
One who trusts justice wins. Delayed punishment is not forgotten punishment. Patience is the key to justice.
