The Hunter and His Loyal Dog
A hunting dog had caught hundreds of prey for his master in his youth and protected him in every danger. When the dog grew old and lost his teeth, one day he failed to hold a wild boar he caught in his jaw and let it escape. Getting angry, the hunter raised his stick and tried to beat the old dog. Looking with sad eyes, the loyal dog said "Do not punish me now because my strength is exhausted; I am the same loyal dog, I only lost my youth and teeth."
Discarding people and friends who rendered great services and put in labor in the past when they get old and fall from power is great disloyalty. Loyalty should be shown not only in strong days but also in moments of weakness and old age. Respecting the memory of old services is the requirement of humanity and loyalty. Knowing value only as long as it provides benefit is opportunism.
Forgetting past labor in old age is disloyalty. Forgetting past labor is disloyalty. Loyalty is tested at difficult times. Old age does not decrease service value.
An old friend is not discarded. Loyalty is a requirement of humanity. Remembering service is loyalty.
