The Hawk and the Nightingale
A nightingale sings on a high tree. A hungry hawk sees the nightingale. The hawk flies down and catches him.
The little nightingale is very afraid. The nightingale begs the hawk. I am very small and cannot feed you.
Let me go and find big birds. The hawk looks at him and laughs. I am not crazy.
I do not let go of ready food. I do not chase unseen prey.
A bird in hand is worth two.
