The Gull and the Kite
One day a small gull flew over the sea. The gull was hungry and saw a big fish. It dropped down and swallowed the fish at once. But this fish was too big for its throat. The fish stuck, and the gull could not breathe.
The little gull fell on the beach in pain. A kite in a tall tree saw the gull. The kite flew down slowly to the helpless gull. The kite felt no pity and looked angry. "Sea bird, you were too greedy," said the kite.
"You ate too much, and the food hurt you." The gull understood its mistake too late. Full of regret, the gull lay on the beach. People forget their limits and suffer great harm. Too much of anything is bad.
