The Goat and the Donkey

Long ago, on a lush green farm, there lived a jealous goat and a hardworking donkey. The farmer took very good care of the hardworking donkey and gave him plenty of fresh grass. Jealous of the love the farmer showed to the donkey, the goat devised a clever plan. The goat went to the donkey and began speaking sweet words to deceive him. "You carry heavy loads from morning till night and get very tired," said the goat. "If you pretend to be sick and roll down the cliff, you can rest for a few days," he advised.

The naive donkey believed the jealous goat's lie and immediately threw himself down the cliff. Rolling down the cliff, the donkey was severely injured and hurt all over. When the farmer saw his injured donkey, he was very sad and immediately called a wise vet. After examining the donkey, the vet told the farmer an interesting treatment method. "To heal the donkey, you must boil the jealous goat's liver and feed its juice to him," said the vet. Without wasting any time, the farmer slaughtered the goat and prepared healing medicine from its liver for the donkey.

Setting a trap for another, the jealous goat fell into the hole he dug himself and lost his life. Plans made with bad intentions ultimately harm the person making the plan. He who sets a trap for others falls into it himself. You fall into the pit you dig yourself.

As you do, so shall it be done unto you. He who does evil finds evil. They that sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind. He who envies finds no peace.
