The Frog Envying the Ox
A small frog saw a huge and massive ox grazing by the lake. Envying the ox's body, the frog began filling its chest with air and swelling itself up. The frog asked its young ones "Look and see, have I become as big as the ox?"; its young ones said "No, you haven't even come close to it yet." With its eyes blinded by ambition, the frog continued swelling itself up even more and finally its belly burst and it lost its life.
Those who enter competition with others disregarding their own capacity and limits destroy themselves. Jealousy and desire to boast blind a person's logic. Entering loads that nature and constitution cannot bear ends in disaster. Knowing one's limits and living modestly is a vital essential.
Comparison and envy exceeding one's bounds bursts a person. Competition exceeding your capacity ruins. Jealousy blinds the eye. Swelling up brings disaster.
Living modestly saves life. One does not enter meaningless race with another. One who does not know their limit bursts.
