The Fox with the Swollen Belly
A clever fox with a belly ringing from hunger wanders in the forest. He gets delicious smells from the hollow of an old oak tree. He sees the fresh meat and bread that the shepherds left.
The fox slips inside with difficulty through the narrow hollow. With appetite he eats all the food down to the last crumb. His belly swells and rises like a huge drum.
The fox who wants to go out gets stuck in the narrow hole. Groaning helplessly he looks for help in the forest. A wise fox passing by on the road hears his voice.
The wise fox smiles and whispers softly. "Karnın acıkıp eski haline dönene kadar bekle," der. The greedy fox understands the mistake he made.
A little greed brings much loss.
