The Fox and the Thorn Bush

A sly fox slips on steep rocks in woods. Falling, he grabs a thorny bush for support. The sharp thorns pierce his paws.

In pain, the fox shouts at the bush. "I sought shelter, but you hurt me!", says. The thorny bush calmly replies to fox.

"Seeking shelter with a pricking bush was wrong.", says. "My nature is to prick, not help!", says. The fox quietly realizes his mistake in pain.

He who expects help from wrong friends suffers. Mercy cannot be expected from the wicked.

Stinging nettles make no healing salve.
