The Father and His Two Daughters
An old father had two beautiful daughters. One daughter married a gardener. The other daughter married a brickmaker. One day the father wanted to visit them. First he went to his older daughter.
She said, "Father, please pray for rain!" Then he went to his younger daughter. This daughter said, "Father, pray for sun!" The garden needed rain, the bricks needed sun. The father was very surprised.
His two daughters wanted very different things. Rain hurt one daughter, sun hurt the other. The old man could not choose a prayer. Sometimes nobody can make everyone happy. You cannot please the whole world.
