The Eyes and the Mouth
Once upon a time, at the edge of an old forest where cool waters flowed, lived a cute traveler. The organs in this traveler's body always worked in great harmony among themselves. However, on a sunny spring morning, an unexpected argument broke out between two bright eyes and an affectionate mouth. Seeing the bright red apples on the branch, the two eyes declared themselves the most important part of the traveler. Guiding every step of the traveler, the eyes had begun to look down on the other organs a little.
Squinting proudly, the eyes turned to the mouth and said, "Only we see all the beauties of the world and the delicious fruits." The mouth smiled at these arrogant words and answered in a calm voice. "Seeing is undoubtedly beautiful, but I am the one who tastes those sweet fruits and gives strength to the body," said the mouth. Angered by these words, the eyes closed themselves, saying, "If we don't guide the way, you can't reach any fruit." When everything suddenly turned into pitch darkness, the traveler got confused about where he was and stumbled for a moment.
Unable to see ahead, the traveler failed to notice where he stepped and tumbled into a deep pit. The mouth was also in pain from the impact and could no longer speak sweet words. As the eyes remained closed, they realized that the body was weakening and hunger was threatening everyone. Realizing their mistake, the eyes slowly opened their lids in regret and began to scan the surroundings again. Climbing out of the pit with the light of the eyes, the traveler moved toward the nearby fresh blackberry bush.
The mouth chewed the delicious blackberries brought by the eyes bite by bite, providing the body with the needed energy. Both organs realized that they meant nothing on their own, but could only exist together. From that day on, the eyes and the mouth brought joy to the traveler's life by cooperating amicably. Every single part of the body needs one another, and only through solidarity is true wholeness achieved. One stone does not make a wall.
