The Donkey Who Wanted to Play with His Master
Once an old farmer lived in a pretty village. He had a small dog and a big donkey. The man loved the dog and played with it. The donkey watched this and grew very jealous. One day the donkey made a plan.
"I will play like the dog too," he said. One evening the man sat quietly in the garden. The donkey ran and jumped onto his lap. He hugged the man and licked his face.
The old man cried out under the heavy donkey. The servants heard him and ran to the garden. They chased the donkey away and saved the man. The poor donkey understood and ran to the stable.
Every creature must act in its own way. Fine feathers do not make fine birds.
