The Donkey, the Rooster and the Lion
One day a rooster and a donkey lived on a green farm. Every day the two animals walked in the garden together. In the dark forest near the farm there was a big lion. One day the bad lion was very hungry and came to the farm. The lion saw the donkey and ran at him at once.
Right then the rooster on the branch crowed very loudly. The lion was very afraid of the sound and ran away. The silly donkey thought, "The lion is afraid of me!"
Very happy, the donkey ran after the big lion into the forest. Deep in the forest the donkey went far from the rooster.
The lion looked back and did not hear the rooster. The big lion turned around at once and caught the donkey. The donkey saw his big mistake, but it was too late. Without knowing your own strength, you take great harm. Ignorance makes men bold.
