The Deer and the Vine
A beautiful deer lived in a forest. One day fast hunters chased the deer. The deer got scared and ran away. A green vine grew near the road.
The deer hid behind this big vine. The hunters missed him and walked away. The deer was happy and felt safe.
Then he got hungry and ate leaves. He ate every green leaf with pleasure. Soon the deer stood in plain sight. One hunter returned and saw moving branches. He saw the deer behind the leaves.
He threw his arrow and caught him. The deer understood his mistake too late. Never be ungrateful to your protectors.
