The Crow and the Swan
A crow with pitch-black feathers saw the swan's snow-white feathers and felt great envy toward it. The crow thought "The swan is white because it constantly bathes in water and eats wetland grasses; if I do so too, my feathers will whiten." The crow left its food in dumpsters and settled by the lake; day and night it bathed in water and began gnawing wetland grasses. The crow's black feathers did not whiten at all; moreover, due to unfamiliar foods, it grew emaciated and died of hunger by the lake.
Trying to change one's temperament and color coming from creation by changing external factors, environment, or habits is an impossible envy. Artificial efforts, besides failing to change nature, destroy existing opportunities and health as well. Living at peace with one's own core structure is the secret to a long and peaceful life. Creation cannot be changed, but can be developed.
External interventions cannot change the structure coming from birth. Washing does not whiten black feather. Trying to change nature destroys. Be at peace with your own essence.
Artificial effort ruins health. Envy takes life. Respect for creation is essential.
