The Crow and the Snake
Once a black crow lived in a big tree. One day the crow was hungry and wanted food. On a sunny hill it saw a sleeping snake. The crow thought the snake was a tasty meal.
It flew down quietly and caught the snake. The snake woke up suddenly and got very angry. The snake turned fast and bit the crow hard. The poison ran quickly through the crow's body.
The crow understood its big mistake at once. The crow fell down and lost all its strength. It hoped for a big meal, but it died. It learned to stay away from dangerous things. Not every nice chance is safe for us. The hunter becomes the hunted in the end.
