The City of Monkeys

Once upon a time, monkeys lived in an untouched forest where giant trees stretched to the sky. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, whispering cheerful songs to the inhabitants of the forest. The community of monkeys living in this magical geography jumped from branch to branch and picked fruit all day. However, their leader, an ambitious monkey, looked enviously at the magnificent stone buildings in the neighboring kingdom. Finally one day, emulating humans, they decided to build themselves a grand city.

The leader monkey climbed onto a high rock and shouted excitedly to the crowd. "We too can build a big city with strong walls like humans!" he said. An old and experienced monkey stepped forward anxiously and took the floor. "Building a city is not just piling up stones; it requires order and patience," he warned. The young monkeys preferred to get right to work without listening to these wise words. They carried huge stones, muddy branches, and vines from all four corners of the forest.

But since they didn't make any plan, everyone tried to build walls according to their own whim. Some wanted a high tower, while others strived to build a wide palace. At the end of the day, a strange pile of stones emerged with no foundation and standing unstable. When night came, a sudden harsh wind and heavy rain shook the forest. Those weak walls built without effort and rules could not withstand the fierce wind.

The stones collapsed with a loud crash, and the city they built was instantly destroyed. Narrowly escaping with their lives, the monkeys finally realized that great things cannot be achieved without following rules. Giving up their dream of a city, they returned to their green homes where they belonged, the safe branches of trees. Real success is achieved not only with enthusiasm, but with discipline, wisdom, and solid order. He that asks will not stumble.
