The Calf and the Deer
A young calf admired a huge-horned and powerful deer he encountered in the forest. The calf asked the deer "You have majestic horns and strong legs, so why do you run away immediately when you see tiny hunting dogs?" The deer sighed and said "You are right, my child, but the moment I hear dogs barking, my heart shrinks and my feet start running away automatically." The calf understood that external appearance and size cannot change internal cowardice.
Creatures with cowardice and timidity in their nature cannot show courage at the moment of danger no matter how big and armed they are. The majesty of external appearance is not enough to cover the lack of internal courage. True strength lies not in legs or weapons, but in the courage of the heart. A cowardly heart forces even the strongest body to run away.
Cowardly nature does not change with a big body. External appearance does not give courage. Fear in the heart makes legs flee. Majesty does not replace courage.
Cowardice knows no body bounds. True strength is in the heart. Weapons are useless without courage.
