The Boy with the Stomach-Ache
A little boy walked in the village orchard. He picked many green apples from the trees. The apples were not ripe yet. But the greedy boy ate them very fast. Soon he went back home.
Suddenly his tummy hurt very much. He lay down on his bed and twisted. "Mummy, my tummy hurts a lot!" he cried. "Please call a doctor now!" he said. His mother came and stroked his head.
"My son," she said. "This is not an illness, these are the green apples," she said. "You ate too much, and now your tummy hurts," she added. The boy understood his mistake and waited quietly. He promised to never eat green fruit again.
They both saw the price of greed.
As you make your bed, so you must lie in it.
