The Bear and the Fox
Long ago, a huge bear lived by the edge of an old forest where cool waters flowed. This bear always considered himself a very kind and merciful animal. The other cute small animals in the forest were very afraid of his large body. The bear constantly boasted and said he never harmed anyone.
"I never harm living people, I don't even touch dead bodies," said the bear. Hearing this, the sly fox approached the bear with a smile. "I wish you would leave the living alone and only touch the dead," said the fox. "Because the fear you give to the living is greater than the respect you give to the dead," he added.
The bear realized that his fancy words could not hide his own mistakes. Actions speak louder than words. What matters is not talk, but action. A person who praises himself cannot be convincing. Kindness is not done with words. True character is revealed in actions.
Fancy words do not cover up mistakes. One must respect living people. Talking won't get the boat moving. Actions speak louder than words. Goodness is evident in behavior, not in words.
