In a rich man's house, there were two birds kept; one for its voice and elegance, the other for banquet meat: the Swan and the Goose. On the banquet evening, the cook entered the dark coop and, intending to catch the goose to cook, accidentally caught the swan. About to be put under the knife, the swan out of fear for its life began singing the most enchanting song of its life. Recognizing the swan from the beauty of its voice, the cook realized his mistake, immediately released it, and caught the goose.
