The Bald Man and the Gardener
Once upon a time, beside an old forest where cool waters flowed, there was a wonderful garden full of colorful flowers. The devoted gardener of this garden worked the soil with love every morning and pruned the fruit trees with patience. On a hot summer day, the neighbor known for his shining bald head came to visit this peaceful garden. He sat in the cool shade of the fruit trees and began to eat with delight the sweet fruits the gardener had freshly gathered. The wonderful scent of the roses around and the cheerful chirping of the birds gave the place a magical air. Just at that moment a bold mosquito began to circle around the smooth and shining head of the bald man.
When the fly landed on the top of his head and bit him without mercy, the bald man jumped up with anger. Every time the man raised his hand, it escaped quickly, then landed on the same spot again and troubled him. Defeated by his anger, the bald man shouted, “You insolent little creature, I will teach you a lesson!” The gardener watched the excessive anger of the man with surprise and came closer to him calmly. “My friend, do not hurt yourself so much for a little fly,” he said, warning him. But the man, whose eyes saw nothing but his own fury, did not listen at all to the wise words of the gardener.
The moment the fly landed right on the top of his head, the man struck his own head a violent blow with all his strength. With the force of the ringing blow, the bald head of the man turned bright red and hurt him terribly. But the cunning fly rose into the air with a tiny beat of its wings and smiled at the pitiful state of the man. The man, who had punished himself with his own hand, held his head and sank to the ground in shame. The old gardener came smiling beside the man and put his hand on his shoulder in a friendly way. The man finally understood how answering a small pain with anger brings a person into a much greater harm. The angry person who acts without thinking harms himself before he harms his enemy. Anger harms the angry one the most.
