The Bald Horseman
A hairless and bald man proudly rode his horse with a fake wig on his head. A violent wind suddenly blowing on the road blew off the wig on the man's head and threw it far away. People around saw the man's bald head and began laughing loudly. The bald horseman also laughed with them saying "What is there to be surprised at? Even my own natural hair did not stay on my head, would someone else's hair stay on my head?"
People who are at peace with their own shortcomings and face their flaws with humor rather than hiding them do not become embarrassed and disgraced. Facing the loss of temporary and borrowed ornaments with maturity and humor is the greatest virtue. Others' mockery cannot break a person at peace with themselves. Maturity is being able to smile at unexpected losses.
Being at peace with yourself and being able to make fun of your shortcomings is a virtue. Being at peace with yourself gives resilience. Borrowed ornament flies quickly. Humor defeats embarrassment.
Making peace with flaws is maturity. Do not attach to temporary ornament. Self-confidence renders mockery ineffective.
