Hermes and the Earth
Long ago Hermes was a clever sky messenger. The great god Zeus made people and called Hermes. Zeus wanted to give them a beautiful home. Hermes took the people to the blue Earth. Earth was lonely, and the people surprised her.
Hermes smiled and spoke to Earth very sweetly. "These people will live here and help you," he said. Earth thought and wanted to tell them her rules. "They can eat my fruit, but never hurt me," she said. Hermes told the people her wish one by one.
The people thanked Earth and made a promise. Earth gave green trees, clean water and tasty food. So people and Earth lived together like friends. People with love for nature are always happy. You reap what you sow.
