Fate and the Farmer
A poor farmer worked in his field every day. One day he dug the ground and hit something hard. A big old pot was under the ground. The pot was full of gold coins. The farmer saw the gold and shouted with joy.
He knelt down and thanked only the earth. Then Fate came and looked at the man. Fate spoke to him in a calm voice. You found the gold, but you never thanked me. Tomorrow you will lose this gold and blame me.
But in good days you thank only the earth. The farmer heard these words and felt ashamed. After that day he thanked the earth and his luck. In good days we must not forget luck and fate. What is meant for you will always find you.
